According to experts, the budget for 2023 should include plans for improving the infrastructure for the railroads with an emphasis on Vande Bharat trains and freight routes. Shatabdi and Rajdhani Express trains will be gradually replaced with the modern Vande Bharat Express by the Indian Railways. 

ICF will first introduce 75 chair Vande Bharat trains and in the coming years, sleeper Rajdhani-style Vande Bharat trains will also operate on lines. Indian Railways is preparing to award a tender for 200 Vande Bharat trains with sleeping accommodations. Vande Bharat is presently being produced by the ICF with 16 cars, however production of similar trainsets with eight cars will speed up the launch of more trains. 

According to railway experts, attention should be given to upgrading rails to the 16 kmph speed limit in the budget for 2023. The most crucial thing is, according to G Raghuram, Principal Academic Advisor at NRTI, to increase the average speed to 100 kmph. 

The goal is to modernize the transportation infrastructure for today's passengers. Railway officials are attempting to create facilities that are convenient and more pleasant for the passengers in order to meet their accommodation demands.
