If all goes well, Udaipur railway Station might appear as clean and beautiful as any airport. Railway Station of Udaipur has been getting praised enough for its neatness. Now Railway Ministry has given approval for developing Udaipur station by having facilities similar to that of any airport.

Station development plan has the provision of modern amenities for train passengers with the introduction of new train routes from Udaipur. As per Puneet Chawla, lift work for platform 2 and 3 has been done. Escalator connecting main platform to foot over bridge is also almost complete. Both facilities are likely to begin in next 10 days.

Work is in progress for 2^nd foot over bridge. Foundation for this foot over bridge has been laid near RMS post office at the main platform. This bridge will connect all  platforms numbers from 2 to 5.
