November 27,2024 - China is making it easier for travelers from 38 countries to visit. Starting November 30, 2024, visitors can stay in China for up to 30 days without a visa. This policy will last until December 31, 2025.

Earlier, visitors could stay for only 15 days without a visa. Now, they can stay twice as long. This change is meant to attract more tourists and professionals to China.

The Chinese government said the goal is to boost tourism and encourage people from other countries to visit and connect with China. China is also adding more countries to the visa-free list. This means more people can visit without applying for a visa.

A new type of visit called "Type F exchange visits" will also be allowed visa-free. These are for educational and cultural purposes, helping to build better global relationships.

This visa-free program started in December 2023 with six countries, including France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Over time, more countries have been added to the list.

In 2024, China saw 8.19 million foreign visitors, a big increase from last year. Of these, 4.89 million travelers used the visa-free policy. This new rule is expected to bring even more tourists and make China a popular destination for people worldwide.
