As we approach the end of 2023 with less than 15 days remaining, it is essential to plan ahead if you are considering traveling for Christmas and New Year. Check flight prices and secure hotel bookings in advance, as costs tend to rise during this festive season. It is advisable to monitor and book flights early to avoid the surge in prices that commonly occurs during this period.

Additionally, rental prices for popular destinations such as Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kashmir have already doubled. Tourism entrepreneur Ashok Joshi notes a significant surge in Christmas and New Year bookings, leading to nearly every flight being fully booked. Currently, there are 20 flights operating from Udaipur, connecting to 10 cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Indore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gopal, Surat, Rajkot, and Ahmedabad. 

The rental prices for these flights have approximately doubled. During the period between December 21 and 31, the fares for any flight range from Rs 8,000 to 12,000/-. Flights to Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, and Kashmir presently have the highest rental prices, with Goa being the most expensive destination. Planning and booking accommodations now can help you secure reasonable rates before they further increase.

December presents two long weekends, with the first aligning with Christmas and the second with New Year. Christmas falls on a Monday, granting a prolonged weekend starting from Friday evening and spanning through Saturday and Sunday. This period signifies both the commencement and conclusion of the long weekends in December 2023.
