According to the data provided by the Udaipur airport administration, there has been a significant increase in both the number of passengers and the frequency of flights at Maharana Pratap airport. In July 2023, a total of 1,62,54 people traveled via flights, whereas in the preceding month of June, the number of travelers was 1,18,66. This indicates a notable increase of approximately 4,388 passengers in July compared to June. Based on the comparison with the previous year's data, it was observed that in July 2022, a total of 78,580 passengers traveled through flights at Maharana Pratap airport. Considering this, the total number of passengers who have traveled in July 2023 stands at 27,674. This reflects a substantial increase in passenger traffic compared to the same month of the previous year.

In July 2023, there were a total of 855 aircraft movements at Maharana Pratap airport. However, in the same month, the number of aircraft movements increased to 872, indicating a rise in air traffic. In contrast, during July 2022, there were only 636 aircraft movements, resulting in a significant increase of 236 aircraft movements in July 2023 when compared to the same month in the previous year. 

As of now, Maharana Pratap airport operates a total of 16 flights to various destinations, including Jaipur, Mumbai, Delhi, Bhopal, Indore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. Starting from 21st August 2023, the airport will introduce additional flights for Rajkot and Surat. Furthermore, it is anticipated that more flights will be added in September, further expanding the airport's services and connectivity.

The increase in flight movements at Udaipur airport is expected to have a positive impact on tourist footfall in the city. With improved connectivity, more tourists will be able to visit Udaipur easily, boosting the local tourism industry and contributing to the city's economic growth.
