Udaipur, renowned for its  lakes and palaces, has secured a spot in Travel+Leisure magazine's latest list of the "Best Places to Visit in India During Monsoons." This adds to the city's growing reputation as a premier travel destination, having titles such as best wedding destination, favored solo travel spot, India’s top leisure destination, best luxury hotels etc.

During the monsoon season, Udaipur experiences moderate to heavy rainfall, a refreshing change from Rajasthan's typically arid climate. This weather phenomenon not only cools down the desert heat but also enhances the city's environment.

The inclusion of Udaipur as Rajasthan's sole representative in this year's travel list highlights its unmatched appeal. Tourists continue to flock to the 'Lake City' year-round. Even during the recent heatwaves conditions tourists were seen roaming in the city.

As monsoon is arriving in Udaipur, expectations are high for a surge in tourist arrivals. Beyond the city's urban attractions, the outskirts of the city also comes alive with lush green landscapes.

“Even with elevated humidity levels, Udaipur in the rainy season is a sight to behold. With the rains washing the city anew, the lakes, gardens, waterfalls, and hills come alive with lush greenery. Expect warm cloudy afternoons and pleasant evenings when strolling around.” - Travel+Leisure
