Udaipur is set to gets its new music centre, which will be launched on 13 January with a soft baptismal opening for musicians only on Sunday, 6 January.
The soft launch will be held from 5pm till 10pm on Sunday 6 January, and will focus on introducing Udaipur’s most creative musicians to the centre and to each other as well. This interaction is to develop the peer group ecosystem at the new centre.
Basic theme of the centre is Gypsy music, every evening on weekdays, but on weekends and late evening, the centre will be open for multi-genre creativity and music, where all kinds of musicians can play and/or jam together.
The evening on 6 January will have Sayari’s Manganiyar lads, a Baul flutist, and a great new rock-blues band called Darjeeling High, among other performances. Musicians are welcome to attend to introduce their work as well as listen to others showcase their passion for music.
Drinks, snacks and domain-peer interaction will ensure that the music centre gets its true patrons.
