A supervisor and a cleaner at the Udaipur Municipal Corporation were arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 5,500. The Anti Corruption Bureau at Udaipur conducted a raid after getting complaints to this effect.
Shabnam, a cleaner at the Udaipur Municipal Corporation presented a complaint at the Ant Corruption Bureau, Udaipur, against the Superintendent Maqbool Hussain. In her complain, she alleged that Maqbool, through another cleaner had asked for a monthly fee of Rs 5,500 from her, in lieu of arranging a cleaning area. She also alleged that the cleaner was being used as an agent for this purpose.
On investigation by the ACB, it was found that Maqbool Hussain and a cleaner Mushtaq Hussain have been taking bribe from other cleaners for allocating duties.
