Indigo Airlines flight from Udaipur to Delhi was cancelled on Sunday night. Passengers were stuck at the airport for 2 ½ hours. The flight was cancelled at the last minute and passengers have accused the airline officials for not giving satisfactory response regarding this cancellation.
Indigo Airlines leaves Udaipur at 2110 hours for New Delhi. After completion of all formalities, passengers were waiting for the announcements to be done. When that did not happen, the passengers enquired with the representatives who did not give any satisfactory response. Initially, staff asked them to wait for some time. Later they said that due to traffic congestion in Delhi, the flight was being cancelled. When questioned by passengers, the staff said that it was beyond their control.
Some passengers were even offered a flight next morning at 10 a.m. One of the passengers complained that he had to fly urgently to Delhi because of somebody’s demise in the family. Flight cancellation made it difficult for him to reach on time. All passengers returned from the airport after waiting for 2 ½ hours.
Reportedly Airport Director Kuldeep Singh pleaded innocence since he was not at the airport. He provided numbers of airline representatives but the representatives when called denied giving any information saying they did not have any authority to do so.media reports
