To ascertain the status of the files, UIT will establish tracker system under the supervision of NIC through which it will be easier to find in which department is the file being processed.
The work for the tracker system has been started amid the finalization of control room on the first floor near law branch. The system will get completed and start working within 3 months. In the first phase the Vision & IT solutions team is scanning all the files where indexing & searchable PDF is being prepared.
On an estimate, around 2 Lac files are there in the branch out of which 45,000 are for releasing the lease. Secretary Ramniwas Mehta informed that the system is being prepared to avoid complaints of lost files and delay.
A total of 12 branches will be involved in the system and the files will contain special bar code sticker. Whenever a file will travel from one branch to another, it will be scanned via bar code to the computer which will hold the current status of the file. For this, each branch will also have computers.
