Human vs Human: Evolving Backwards

We as Human beings are arguably the best of God’s creation.  We are adored by Mother Nature and we enjoy our supreme dominance over any other species on the planet.  May it be logical ability, sentiments or culture; we rule the race of living beings.

In our initial being we were together, where the primary motive was survival and we were ‘One for All, and All for One’.  Subsequently we evolved and with that ‘thoughtful’ evolution, we separated our lands to make boundaries or geographical distinctions.  Then after further evolution – we chose our leaders and divided ourselves further on the basis of ‘religion’ and ‘caste’.

Few moved on the path of religion A and others on B or C and so on.  The basic outline was to reach God through different paths and follow the guidelines of the religion one chose.  We then passed on the same protocol, sense and guidelines throughout the following generations.

It was all spiritual and smooth until we started pointing out the flaws in others religions.  We started with logical reasoning and then stooped down to illogical ones, and when we saw ourselves being defeated with our own reasoning, we started fighting with arms, speeches and senses.  After all, it was all about proving ‘my-religion’ superior to ‘his-religion’, how could I have backed out.

Meanwhile, we also were in the middle of differentiating ourselves on the ground of ‘caste’.  The behind-the-drape motive of ‘casting’ was to allot a unique job to individual castes like some would devote their time in learning and reading, some would handle administrations and battlefields, some would study religion, some will be responsible for cleaning jobs, some would study medicine and so were the others.

Everything was running fine, till the time when one day all of a sudden our mind got occupied with the sense of superiority over other humans of different castes – which we then started calling ‘lower castes’.  We then laid a ‘well-thought’ map of caste hierarchy which pointed out who is superior and who is inferior.  We then passed on this mind map to our kids, and then they passed on to theirs.

Now, every kid knows ‘who is who’.  We know that X is superior to Y.  If you will ask why, you’ll get a sudden reply that – they do ‘ABC’ job and that’s not what we do, we do ‘XYZ’ job and ours is significant OR they are from A religion, I am from B and I am superior.

We all forgot that in the beginning – that ‘behind-the-drape’ motive was to distinguish work, not to distinguish people or to walk on a path to reach the almighty, not to prove other paths wrong.

To further worsen the situation, we brought ‘Money’ into the scene and bam!  We have another reason to justify our stand on ‘superiority’.  Come on, I have income in ‘lacs’ and they have in ‘thousands’ – where do they stand on my level!

But what we don’t realize – that is because we pay them less, because we think what they do is insignificant and they don’t object because they also have a feeling of ‘inferiority’.  We never think that ‘ABC’ job is equally important in our life-cycle as ‘XYZ’, as if no one would do ‘ABC’ for you then you’ll do it yourself – then would you be of ‘lower-caste’ to yourself – I don’t think so!

We were one good clan once, and now we are many individual groups – divided by distinctions and still collectively known as Humans.  We are still superior from other living beings, but inside we are shallow.  We are spoon-fed with those basic instincts of hatred and toxoid with the sense of ‘supreme-being’.

For me, I am just a human being – who doesn’t even know who I am, and where I stand.  I am good for job A, best for job B and job C fascinates me.  I follow religion A, I think religion B has some really good approach and I am curious about religion C.

I praise Mother Nature for giving me life, but at the same time I wish there would be no religion, no boundaries and no money.  All of these were introduced with the sense of evolving brightly, but now we take it differently and are evolving backwards.

We abuse nature, we abuse humanity and we abuse ourselves.  We don’t even follow our ‘religion’ or act according to our ‘caste’ right, but we hail to be ‘superior’.  We are so filled with the ego of position, money, standard, life-style and race that we don’t see the tears in the other’s eye – sentiments no longer holds value for us.

Well, I will let my question wander for a while as I know – am not going to get the answer that are we ‘Human vs Human’ or ‘Human for Human’, because I still have a hope left that someday, we will think about those primitive motives of why we follow a religion or why we’re of one caste not the other; and by that time who knows if we could flash-off this ego of money and all bling-bling which keeps us away from other beings.  Amen!
