Vallabhnagar Assembly seat has always been slightly marred by incidents during elections, be it any level.  11pm on 6 December witnessed an incident of attack at Bhinder on Congress workers, allegedly by members of the the Janta Sena, of MLA Randheer Singh Bhinder.

An FIR was lodged by Congress candidate Gajendra Singh Shaktawat  in the late hours at Bhinder against Janta Sena.  Over 1000 workers of the Congress reached the Police Station, demanding arrest of over 50 accused belonging to the Janta Sena.

As per the FIR, over 50 workers of the Janta Sena attacked a vehicle manned by Congress workers and broke out into an altercation including fist fights.  MLA Randheer Singh Bhinder, however, said that he was in Kurawad at the time of the incident and he had no say in what happened.

Congress leader, Rahul Jain, in his report to the Police, mentioned that while he was going back to his village after meeting Shaktawat, members of the Janta Sena, including current candidate and MLA Randheer Singh Bhinder, his son Pranveer Singh, ex-Chairman Goverdhan Lal Bhoi, Hitesh Vyas, Deputy Chairman Devilal Jat and 50 others stopped his car near the Bhinde Railway station.  When he stopped his Scorpio, the mob began shouting abuses and damaged the car.  Members of the mob attacked Rahul and his fellow passenger Bhupendra Singh Shaktawat with sharp weapons and injured them.  Rahul also accused that workers robbed his 6 tola Gold chain.

When Rahul informed Gajendra Singh, he immediately went to the Police station and the members of the Congress demanded arrest of the accused.  As per Mann Singh, SHO of Bhinder police station, the FIR has been recorded and investigations are on.  Congress workers warned that if arrests are not made before 5pm today, the situation will worsen.
