Udaipur student makes representation at United Nations

Aishwarya Pandit, a 25 year old citizen of Udaipur made a representation at United Nations recently. He was one of  the 360 people selected from across the world for this program and will be considered as a global change maker.

He was selected for a significant opportunity to tackle the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals from 27th August – 11 September 2016. This international group of young leaders developed a strategy that is expected to lead and inspire the global community to take action and create change at global level. Action Plan 001 was presented to the United Nations to tackle sustainable development goals.

Udaipur student makes representation at United Nations

Aishwarya represented SDG -2 (Zero Hunger). The core of Merit360 Action Plan 001 addresses all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations.

The selection process included answering a set of essay type questions and description of past achievements. This was evaluated by a telephonic interview with the organising team representative from Liverpool, UK. This was followed by another skype interview. Finally, Aishwarya had to make a video presentation about his candidature for the programme.

A graduate from Advent College, Udaipur, Aishwarya is currently working for a British consulting firm in Mumbai.
