Rain Gods showered their full blessings on Udaipur and surrounding region on Friday. Catchment area for Udaipur lakes of Alsigarh and Dewas received 5 inches water whereas Jhadol recorded 6 inches rainfall.

Courtesy heavy rains in the hilly areas, water has started flowing into the adjoining lakes and rivers. Nandeshwar channel witnessed and overflow and 1 feet of water flow was recorded. Sisarma however is yet to record any water flow. Water will reach Pichola once all the small pot holes etc on the way get filled up and the land soaks up water along the route.

Courtesy heavy rain, traffic along many paths in the Jhadol area remained impact. Falasiya-Panarva route was impacted for 2 hours, Kantharia route for 4 hours, Falasiya to Kotra via Panarva for two hours.

Udaipur city also received very heavy showers for about half an hour in the afternoon yesterday. Since then there has been light to moderate showers throughout the last night and extending into today morning. As per the weathermen, the rains may continue for another 24 hours.
