Sajjangarh Biological Park has stuck an arrangement with Pilikula Biological Park, Mangalore, Karnataka for exchanging 8 parrots and a pelican bird for a male Bengal Tiger. Also, the two biological parks have stuck a deal for exchanging one male hybrid lion for a female hybrid lion. The two parks have also received clearance from Central Zoo Authority for exchanging the animals. 

This comes as a Valentine gift for the male lion and female tigress who were spending the life in solitude over the last couple of years. The female tigress, Damini will get her partner in form of the Bengal tiger from Pilikula Biological park. Sajjangarh Biological park earlier had two hybrid male lions. By exchanging one male lion with a female lion, the pairing will also be complete for the lions.

With pairing complete, Sajjangarh Biological authorities are expecting increase in both the lion and tiger families at Sajjangarh.

In exchange of the Bengal Tiger, Sajjargarh biological park authorities are giving away 8 parrots including one pair of Alexandrine Parakeet, a pair of Blossom headed Parakeet and 4 Rose Ring Paraket along with one Dalmatian Pelican.

T.Mohan Raj, DFO (Wildlife), Udaipur informed that they are also planning to get a pair of Bears from Aizwal Zoological park in Mizoram
