Relocation of Tiger (T-24) from Ranthambore National Park to Udaipur’s Biological Park has now become a debate point.

Officials of National Tiger Conservation Authority are stating that the decision to shift a tiger from National park to Biological Park is illogical. This kind of decision is taken as a last resort when there is no option left.

Rajkumar Rivana, State Forest & Environment Minister also stated that he was not asked before initiating the relocation process of T-24. Rajkumar also formed a committee, which will review this case.

In the same context, T-24 is relocated from Ranthambore to Udaipur because he attacked people on four different occasions in past five years. Experts are saying that, because we are encroaching their (wildlife’s) space, hence they attack as a survival instinct.

T-24 was shifted to Udaipur Biological Park last night at 11:30PM. He is kept in an enclosure which is modified to suit him in this heat.

Also, it is a worrying factor that he is kept in the same space where a tiger died last month because of infection. Though, according to authorities, the space was properly disinfected before the  arrival of T-24.
