Vivek Patni – Director, Wonder Cement Ltd said, “Wonder Cement with Raksha NGO is pleased to launch the campaign Saving Feathered Friends to ensure that injured birds are given emergency treatment. While people have every right to enjoy themselves during Uttarayan, what is often forgotten is that birds too have a right to live. In the larger context bird preservation is everybody’s responsibility for maintaining the ecological balance.”
The objective of this ambulance service is to ensure first aid and treatment for the injured birds during this festive season. Wonder Cement has also launched a bird helpline 9828500065 in which cases of injury can be reported.
“The Makar Sankranti mood is already upon all of us and we can see the sky dotted with colorful kites in the last few days. This year through the tie up with Raksha, we are doing our best to ensure that this does not mean more injuries to birds.”
“This initiative in the New Year is in keeping with our philosophy of Shuruaat Sahi Toh Har Baat Sahi”, said Anil Jhanwar – Vice President (Marketing), Wonder Cement Ltd.
