Mass wedding in India is not new, every small or big social group representing their caste often organizes such events which directly or indirectly benefits participants and gives a stand to the social effectiveness. It also helps those not so financially strong families to wed their sons or daughters in a cost effective manner. Tailik Sahu are one of the different sub caste of Hindu, they are mainly involved in business of manufacturing and selling food products etc. The association of Tailik Sahu Samaj has requested their community members to close their businesses for a day to attend this communal function and give blessings to brides and grooms.
ICC Cricket World Cup Fever has ruled even the most idealistic ritual known as “Wedding”. Some rare moments were seen today at a mass communal wedding of Sahu Samaj. While guests were cheering up, the colorfully dressed bride has bowled out his groom in a small pitch made in the wedding auditorium.
