The employees of Zomato Company who deliver food on two-wheelers are on a strike since 3 days. The food delivery riders met with District Collector on Wednesday and described their issues in detail.
The Zomato riders have accused the company of exploitation. They also alleged that the company has turned a deaf ear to their demands. They demanded that the company should provide them with accidental insurance and enforce the old pay-out system. They said that faults in the Zomato mobile app are responsible for creating loss for the delivery riders. The regional head of Hotel and Restaurant Catering Workers Union assured the delivery riders that a letter would be sent to the management of Zomato regarding solving these issues.
