A middle aged woman who was drowning in Lake Fateh Sagar was rescued by locals. It’s not clear if it was a suicide attempt or an accident.

According to police, the woman was found sitting alone at the lake side today morning. Some of the morning walkers asked her the reason of sitting close to water and requested her to move away but she ignored them.

In next few minutes, another man passing from there saw her drowning. The man didn’t know swimming, but threw a rope on her. The woman held the rope and was pulled out.

She was rushed to the hospital and her family was informed. The woman is resident of Brahmpol.

According to victim’s husband and parents, she had no reason of committing suicide and said that, it might have been an accident.
