Police complaint has been lodged against unknown accused for allegedly disturbing the sentiments of mourning relatives of a dead, by taking the ashes from crematory and dumping in an adjoining marshy field.

Police complaint has been lodged against unknown accused for allegedly disturbing the sentiments of mourning relatives of a dead, by taking the ashes from crematory and dumping in an adjoining marshy field.

The bizarre incident came to light, when Narendra Singh Gehlot, resident of Chandpol visited the cemetery at Rani Road to take the ashes of his departed mother who passed away three days ago.

Narendra got shocked after not finding the ashes of his mother at crematorium, however after searching for few hours, ashes were found at nearby marshy area. Disturbed by the incident, Narendra lodged complaint against unknown people for hurting his sentiments.

“We asked caretaker of Shamshaan, but he clearly denied of any foul play or suspicious activities by anyone which sounds scandalous, I will also complain to Municipal Council for installing better security at Shamshaan. The cemetery road is also used by motorists going towards nearby hotel.”, said Gehlot.

He also alleged that it could be the work of people who clean cemetery every day and after knowing about the ashes of woman, they might have scattered it to get ornaments. (In some hindu rituals, dead body woman are often adorned with ornaments before last rites).
