Plaster falls from roof in Maternity Ward
A large size of cemented plaster fell from the roof of a maternity ward at MB Hospital today.
Fortunately, the female patient who was lying on the bed with her two day old baby remained unhurt but two other women including a hospital employee and a female attendant of patient sustained minor injuries.
A large size of cemented plaster fell from the roof of a maternity ward at MB Hospital today.
Fortunately, the female patient who was lying on the bed with her two day old baby remained unhurt but two other women including a hospital employee and a female attendant of patient sustained minor injuries.
Hospital employee Kamla Solanki sustained head injuries and received first aid treatment while another woman who was attending the patient Rekha Sharma of Bed No 61 also got minor injuries.
Hospital officials including Dr. D.P Singh (Superintendent) and Dr. Rajrani (Head of the Department) inspected the situation and ordered immediate action.
“All patients are shifted to another ward and a meeting has been called with assistant engineers and junior engineers to point all such fragile areas of the hospital and renovation will be completed within three days,” says Dr. Rajrani.
