Udaipur administration has strengthened the safety measures by deploying extra security personnel from various departments and paramilitary forces.

Udaipur administration has strengthened the safety measures by deploying extra security personnel from various departments and paramilitary forces.

According to official sources, around 4000 jawans will be deployed at various places during election in Udaipur District on 1st Dec 2013. Officers from several security departments have already reached the city.

Hanuman Prasad, Additional Superintendent, Head Quarter informed that the jawans from CRPF, SSB, RPFS and IFB will be deployed on the day of election. Other than this, battalions of MBC and RAC will be also prepared to assist the other security teams.

Prasad said that, there will be 2500 local policemen with 800 home guards, 200 border home guards and 525 jawans of paramilitary forces. “We have divided the areas into three categories viz. Hyper Sensitive Booth Areas, Sensitive Booth Areas and Simple Booth Areas.”

“At each hyper sensitive booth there will be 4 jawans of Paramilitary force, at each sensitive booth there will be 2 police men and at each simple booth we have deployed one home guard.” added Hunuman Prasad.

All election campaigns will be prohibited 48 hours before elections. All schools (government and non government) were asked to keep their schools closed for two days (29th and 30th Nov).
