Rajkumar Singh, Collector of Kota District, has issued the order of Section 144 to be imposed across Kota from March 22 (6am) to April 21 (12am).

Why Section 144 in Kota?

There have been multiple reasons which are leading to imposing Section 144 in Kota, as per the orders of the administration.

1. The upcoming Festivals like Chaiti Chand, Mahavir Jayanti, Good Friday, Vaishakhi, advent of Ramazan, etc.
2. Screening of The Kashmir Files in theatres.
3. Possibility of water borne accidents in the canals.

As per the order, Kota being sensitive to communal activities, Section 144 is warranted.

Regulations under Section 144 rule?

1. As per this rule, gathering of 5 or more is restricted.
2. No organisation/group/committee is allowed to do any gathering/assembly.
3. All processions are restricted.
4. Any activity that could lead to disrupting peace will be disallowed.

Who are free from Section 144?

All the Government, Police, Election & Corona Vaccination activites can work normally.
