Illegal encroachment continues to plague the city and the law makers are on their feet to clean up what seems to be a weed like situation. The Udaipur Police today, under two different formations, one under DySP Anant Kumar and the other under DySP Dayanand Saran, attacked illegal encroachment and issued Challans to the culprits in the areas of Surajpol-Bapu Bazar and Delhi Gate-Dhan Mandi areas. In Surajpol and Bapu bazar area 41 chalans were made against the encroachers, which included hawkers, truck owners and shopkeepers. Similarly, in the Delhi Gate and Dhan Mandi area, 10 chalans were made and the traffic police removed many vehicles from no parking areas and announcement were made on loud speakers by the police to remove the vehicles from no parking zones.
