A complaint was registered today by Ambamata police where a female employee was accused of charging Rs. 200 from each woman of Mullatalai area in the name of opening accounts under the State Government’s Bhamashah Scheme.

A complaint was registered today by Ambamata police where a female employee was accused of charging Rs. 200 from each woman of Mullatalai area in the name of opening accounts under the State Government’s Bhamashah Scheme.

Accused woman reportedly is representatives of a private outsourcing company of Delhi, who was found taking Rs 200 from women under the name of opening accounts in Bhamashah Yojna.

Such Account opening forms of around 11 women today and 26 yesterday were filled, but when the activities of the accused woman were found suspicious she was caught by people of the area and was taken to local police station, said police.

In the initial interrogation, the accused female informed that the contract of opening the account was given to an outsourcing company by SBI, and on their behalf they were opening the accounts, as informed by police.

The corporater of the area Kamlesh Jawaria (ward no. 7) gave a report at the police station against the accused woman for cheating people by taking Rs. 200 cash from them, whereas as per Government’s scheme the accounts should be opened free of cost, Kamlesh Jawaria informed.

Soon a team of SBI officials reached the police station to verify the situation.

The bank officials informed that, SBI has given contract to various outsourcing companies to open accounts under the Bahmashah scheme but all the companies were instructed not to charge any amount from the people.

The report of the complainant was registered and its investigation has been started by the police, as per SHO Ambamata Police station Jitendra Anchalia.
