Hotels are booked, loudspeakers are loaded, glasses are ready to be filled with cocktails and mocktails; all the arrangements have been made for the last evening of the year 2012. Udaipur city is ready for the celebrations which will continue tilllate in the evening. But what are the arrangements by the police department for containing anti-social elements, drunken drivers, and other disturbing elements?

We asked Additional SP (City), Tejraj Singh about the preparation of Police Department. He assured that all the arrangements are in place. He said, “Police force is ready for all the situations. Tomorrow, number of policemen will be increased at all the main and sensitive areas in the city. Alpha riders, Hawksand Mobile Vans will be patrolling till late in the night.”

“To control drunken driving, police will be ready with breath detectors and will take on the spot action on the drunken drivers. Police will make all the efforts to maintain a safe and peaceful environment”, he added.
