Government of Rajasthan is initiating its special COVID awareness drive from 21 June till 30 June.  The primary purpose of this drive is the educate people and create awareness on protection from COVID19.

This 10 day awareness drive will be held across villages, tehsils, wards and community mohallas of each district in the state.  People will be educated about the protection and prevention modes against COVID infection.  For more details on implementation measures in Udaipur click here.

An article by UdaipurTimes a day ago suggested a similar understanding among people and also recommended that strict disciplinary measures be taken to ensure that the spread of infection is restricted.

As per the state home department, the increase in routine activities after the lockdown restrictions are being eased – specially commercial activities should not lead to increase in spread of the infection.  People should be aware and not be casual or careless in their routine activities. It is with this purpose that this activity is being initiated.

At the village level, this message will be spread through Aanganbadi Sahayika, ANM, Asha Sahayogini, Gram Sevak, Patwari and local representatives. Pamphlets, banners and reading material related to prevention against COVID will be distributed to each home.

With the coming of the monsoon season, the regular disease spread might also increase the risk of contracting COVID. Hence special care needs to be taken. This message will also be spread.

As per the government notification, as the unlock phase has already begun and routine activities have commenced, people need to strictly follow social distancing norms, wear masks and avoid forming crowd. Awareness on a larger scale is thus necessary.

WHO and experts on disease management are of the view that the coming months will be very critical as far as safety against COVID spread is concerned. Hence care needs to be taken in the correct spirit.
