Superintendent of Police, Ajaypal Singh Lamba today held a meeting at the Police Conference Hall, Police Lines.  The main agenda of the meeting was to delegate more responsibilities and authority to his subordinates.

SHOs, DySPs and Addl. SPs of the entire Udaipur district attending this meeting.  Ajaypal Singh talked to individual SHOs to take an overview of major crimes in their allotted areas and discussed on the possible framework that can be deployed in such situations.

He also instructed the respective officials to conduct maximum investigation in the initial days of the FIR and to make a mandatory routine of visiting the crime scene/location mentioned in the case.

Maintaining a visitor-register and trying to solve the cases at station level was also emphasized by the SP.

The two major concerns presented by SP were of – Organized Crime and Drink-n-Drive cases.  SP made it very clear to take strict and on-the spot action on outlets selling liquor after 8 PM, people creating nuisance on public places after drinking, individuals involved in drink-n-drive cases and people consuming liquor in public places.

Possible frameworks to keep a vigilant tab on criminals included in organized crime and steps needed to be taken in order to control the undisciplined traffic situation of the city were also discussed.

The evening patrol in the city was also discussed in the meeting, wherein it was instructed to immediately detain anyone with suspicious activity.
