The Shiksha Vibhagiya Karamchari Samanvay Sangh on Tuesday staged a protest outside the Collector’s office following their demands to end the positions of Ministerial & Assistant Employees under the staffing pattern of the Education Department.

The agitated protestors staged protest under the leadership of Kamal Prakash Babel and presented a memorandum to the administrative officer in relation to their demands.

Babel informed that under the Staffing pattern in every higher secondary & secondary schools, for every 1 to 100 students there should be one LDC & 1 Assistant employee; on every 101 to 500 students, there should be 1 UDC, 1 LDC and 2 assistant employees at the school.

Similarly, in all those schools with strength from 500 to 1000 they should have 1 UDC, 1 LDC and 4 assistant employees. Besides, conforming to the staffing pattern, the post of 1 lab cleaner and 1 lab assistant has been kept in each higher secondary school.

Based on these parameters, the orders had been issued on 19th June but on 27th June, the new orders were passed by the head quarters according to which 1 position from each of Ministerial and Assistant employees had been removed.

Moreover, in schools with 4 science labs, the position of 4 lab assistants as well as lab servants were reduces to 1 each due to which the work of these labs got disturbed as one could not handle the work of 4 at a time, added Babel.

Towards the end Babel said that the head quarter should reconsider the staffing pattern and should keep the positions of the faculty as required by the schools.
