10 innovations approved on the last day of PRISM

The two day National Level Advisory cum Screening Committee meeting of Promoting Innovations in Individual Start Ups and MSMEs concluded today at Hotel Hilltop, Udaipur.
In the meeting, around 46 Proposal of Innovative Models and Projects were discussed which were presented by the representatives of 14 Centers of Prism from all over the country.
“Out of these 46 projects, 10 Projects were approved by the Screening committee which will be recommended by the committee members to the Ministry for their final approval and then they will be funded,” as informed by the Program Coordinator, Dr. S M Mathur.
Among these 10 selected models, one of the models which came from the Udaipur’s Center of Prism was made by innovator, Rajdeep Singh Tiwana of New Delhi. The model is related to the innovation in the engines of vehicles where it separates the carbon particles from the vehicle smoke. Other models came from the centers of Roorkee, Guntur (AP), Kharagpur, Chandigarh, Kanpur and Trivandrum.
While informing about Prism, Program Coordinator Mathur said, “It was initiated in 2008 as TEPP (Techno Entrepreneur Promotion Program) which was later in the February 2014 termed as Prism.”
The first Innovator of TEPP was Rajendra Kumar who made a cultivator, which become such a success that at present he is running his own unit of the Cultivators with the name of Vishwakarma.
