Google Chrome is unveiling a new feature aimed at enhancing user privacy and convenience in its Canary version for Android. This latest addition automatically revokes permissions granted to websites, such as notifications or access to camera and microphone, if they haven't been used recently.

The feature, initially shared by Leopeva64 on Twitter, appears as a toggle named "Automatically remove permissions" within Chrome's Site Settings. It addresses common issues where users may forget which sites they've granted permissions to, especially for those rarely visited.

Previously available on Chrome desktop, this functionality marks its debut on the mobile platform in an experimental phase. It's expected to become widely accessible with the stable release of Chrome 128, anticipated next month.

In parallel, Google is testing another feature allowing users to set a time limit for tab inactivity. Tabs exceeding this limit would then be categorized under "Inactive tabs" within the app, optimizing browsing efficiency.
