Udaipur, March 1, 2025 - Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore have been stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) since June 5, 2024 because their Boeing Starliner spaceship had technical problems. Their Starliner spaceship had many issues, like fuel leaks and other failures. So, it was not safe for them to return in it. Since the Starliner was unsafe, NASA decided they should come back in a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule instead.
At first, NASA planned for them to come back by March or April 2025. But now, they have changed the plan:
-
SpaceX will send a Crew Dragon capsule on March 12
-
Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore will return to Earth in it by mid-March or end of March
