A 22 year old boy, Wasim Khan was stabbed by an unknown accused and was sent to GBH American Hospital over severe injuries.

The victim, Wasim Khan was attacked by the accused with a knife during the Taziya procession on Tuesday night. This incident happened at Gadiya Devra when the Taziya was heading towards Lal Ghat.

According to police, the victim was stabbed twice, on his abdomen and on the leg. He was immediately rushed to the M.B Hospital by the cops. However, he was later shifted to GBH American Hospital for operation.

The police informed that a case has been registered at the Ghanta Ghar police station and the investigation has been started to arrest the stabber.

According to the sources, one of the accused has been identified and detained by the cops on Wednesday morning.

Victim Wasim Khan is a resident of Khanjipeer area and works as a mechanic at an automobile company.
