A case of sexual harassment has been lodged against the Zonal Head of a well known diagnostic center of Udaipur today. The complaint has been lodged by a former female employee of the diagnostic center.

Hathipol Police has lodged the case under Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013, and started investigation.

According to the victim, she had been subjected to continuous sexual harassment, eve teasing and insult by her senior since February 2013. The victim also alleged her senior of threatening her when she denied giving into his demand of sexual favour.

After suffering from continuous torture, in May 2013, the victim approached top officials of the company who assured her of taking action against the accused. However, when there was no action taken by the company officials, the victim quit her job.

The victim then sought legal support and filed a complaint against the accused in Udaipur district court. The court gave istigasa to Police Superintendent who directed concerned police station for prompt action.
