Jewelry Showroom Employee steals Ornament worth Rs. 1.20 Lac

Owner of Alankar Jewelers has lodged a complaint of theft committed by one of his employees. The accused is absconding.

 

Owner of Alankar Jewelers has lodged a complaint of theft committed by one of his employees. The accused is absconding.

According to the report, the accused Prahlad Singh Rao allegedly stole a 4 tola bangle worth Rs.1.20 Lac from the showroom. The incident was discovered during daily counting of the ornaments. Later CCTV footage confirmed Rao stealing the bangle.

Police raided the residence of Rao but could not find him. According to the owner, Mohan Lal, Prahlad Singh took leave on 5th Oct saying he is going to his in laws house at Bhilwara and since then he didn’t returned.

In the initial investigation police found that the accused had worked at the same jewelry showroom 2 years back for only a period of six months and then he left the job. He rejoined 15 days back.

It was the second incidence of theft occurred at Alankar Jewelers. Prior to this, thieves had stolen ornaments of lacs from the showroom few months back.
