Patient’s attendant slaps Resident Doctor

A resident doctor was reportedly slapped by one of the attendants of a patient last night. The alleged attacker fled away immediately after the incident. Resident doctors of MB Hospital has expressed fury over the incident and demanded strict action against the accused.

According to sources, last night at around 10:30, Dr. Rakesh Choudhary, a resident doctor was on night duty at Emergency Ward. Dr. Choudhary was checking a patient but during the process, he asked three people who were relatives of the patient to stay out of the room.All three people started arguing with Dr. Choudhary and one of the attendants allegedly slapped the resident and fled away.

Dr. Kaptan Singh, president of Resident Doctor’s Association informed that they will provide CCTV Footage to police so the culprit can be identified.  During the mishap, the security guard of emergency ward was unavailable which also once again raised the issue of law and security in hospital.
