One more case of pick pocketing has been reported today in the city when an elderly man became victim and lost Rs.4000/-. Like other couple of incidents reported in the last few days, this incident also took place in an auto rickshaw.

Verdi Chand, (65) residence of Choti Sadri reached Udaipur City Station with his wife Parvati today morning for her checkup in the M.B hospital. The couple took an auto rickshaw from the railway station to reach the hospital.

According to Verdi Chand, there were 2 more people inside the auto rickshaw other then the driver. “I was sitting next to the driver and my wife was sitting at the back side of the vehicle where another man was sitting. When we reached our destination, I checked my shirt’s pocket I found that Rs.4000 was missing. I was left with only Rs. 20,” said the victim.

The elderly couple rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint about the incidence.

The pattern of committing the crime is same as was followed in the previous cases by the alleged Auto Rickshaw drivers.
