More than 100 people from two villages reached district collector’s office today and complained against two allegedly corrupt postmen from their villages who confiscated their financial returns of F.D, R.D and Old Age Pension.

According to the villagers, both postmen took around 20-25 lac Rupees of more than 300 villagers and also threatened those who tried to enquire about their money.

District Collector Ashutosh Pednekar assured the villagers and said that he will order immediate investigation on the matter and the guilty will be punished.

Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Maal ki Tus handed over a memorandum to the collector and informed that, the postmen Shambhu Singh and Radha Kishen are continuously cheating the villagers by opening their F.D and R.D and taking money.

Shambhu Singh is of Village Gupdi while Radha Kishen is from Shishvi Village under Vallabhnagar Tehsil.

Similar exploitation was also reported from nearby villages of Tank, Guda and Falet.
