Private schools to provide all information online
State government has made gross changes in the RTE (Right to Education) portal for private schools.
From now on it will be mandatory for private schools to provide all information online. State government has made gross changes in the RTE (Right to Education) portal for private schools. Under this mandate, all private schools have to make every information available online by 31st July 2017. This includes enrolment and school fees per class.
After providing all relevant information about Non RTE students can a school give admission to RTE students. The schools also have to declare qualification details of every teacher stream wise. Appointments and resignations of staff must also be updated regularly.
Even admissions will be provided online. The portal will also provide online transfer certificate (TC) to the students. These steps have been taken as measures against discrepancies in fee structures and TC given to the students under RTE. Government will now have all intricate details of activities of private schools. Officers of Education department will endorse the information of schools after physical verification on spot.
Schools will be required to provide the following information:
RTE officer Lalit Dak said that earlier private schools were supposed to provide only details of admissions under RTE and Non-RTE on the portal. Going forward, every data will be made available online. The online format of the portal has been amended in such a way that it will reject any incomplete or inadequate information.
