The students of Rajkiya Pragya Chakshu Blind School have concluded their hunger strike on Wednesday after their demands were fulfilled. The lady teacher against whom the students had started the strike has been posted to a different school as per the orders of the District Education Officer, Udaipur.

Virendra Kumar, one of the senior teachers reached the school premises at Mulla Talai with the orders of the DEO. He informed the school staff about the removal of the teacher from the school.

Hearing the news, the students heaved a sigh of relief. The 14 students who were protesting against the teacher broke the long fast, said Devendra, one of the students.

The students have been revolting against the teacher since September 2014. After facing negligent attitude, they reached the District Education Officer and demanded the removal of the teacher from the school.

On 30th October, 14 students set out for hard protest and after a week, the senior officers of the department took the decision in their favor and removed the lady teacher from the school.
