15 people from Udaipur left for Pilgrimage to Karbala

Group of 15 people from Udaipur’s Dawoodi Bohra Community (Bohra Youth) has left for their 25 days pilgrimage to Iraq and Iran today. The group is going to leave India to their first destination in Tehran, Iran followed by Qom and then to the cities of Karbala and Najaf in Iraq.

Group of 15 people from Udaipur’s Dawoodi Bohra Community (Bohra Youth) has left for their 25 days pilgrimage to Iraq and Iran today. The group is going to leave India to their first destination in Tehran, Iran followed by Qom and then to the cities of Karbala and Najaf in Iraq.

According to the group members, this religious and spiritual tour is consisted of visiting the shrines of Hazrat Ali in Najaf and Imam Hussain and Hazrat Abbas in Karbala which also includes visiting the mausoleums of other companions of Imam Hussain who were martyred in the battle of Karbala.

Millions of Shia Muslims around the world pay homage to Imam Hussain and his 72 companions who bravely fought the battle against Ummaiyad ruler Yazid and sacrificed their life in the holy month of Muharram.

The group will be back to India on 5th Nov.
