2 people were arrested for an alleged involvement in illegal sandalwood trade. Around 263kg of wet sandalwood was recovered from the possession of Mohammad Saeed and Amra Gameti from Sukhadia Nagar on 3^rd March. Both were arrested by the Ayad Police Chowki.

A police raid was conducted on 3^rd March at 3 in the afternoon at the residence of Parmanand Soni at Sukhadia Nagar and recovered a load of sandalwood in a room that was rented to Mohammad Saeed Khan by Soni.

According to the Police, the action followed after a tip off. In the initial interrogation, when both accused were unable to give satisfactory answers, they were arrested and sandalwoods were sealed.
