Udaipur, January 27, 2025 – Two Udaipur college students and friends have developed an app called U Guide to guide visitors to the city. This app provides tourists assistance not just with directions but also with information about the city's beautiful tourist spots, hotels, restaurants, malls, shopping areas and more.

Vikas Kumar Jat, of Sarangpura, Kanod and a BBA student from Sukhadia University, and Akshad Soni, from Apratap Chowk, Gogunda and a final-year BCom student, shared that they developed the app at the age of 19 and launched it when they were 20 on the Google Play Store in June 2024. Along with the app, they also created a website under the name U Guide. Their goal is to help people enjoy the best experiences of Udaipur without any hassle.

Until now, no app has been developed that helps tourists as soon as they enter the boundaries of Udaipur. Recognising this need, friends Vikas and Akshad developed U Guide which has become a digital companion, not only for tourists visiting Udaipur but also for local residents.

Patent for the App and Website: Creators of the "U Guide" app, , They explained that "U Guide" is not just an app; it is a companion that ensures no one misses out on the magic of Udaipur. Through this app, users can access information about the city's best hotels, cafes, restaurants, famous tourist spots, temples, various markets, malls, street foods, nightclubs, cultural events, as well as tour guides and much more related to Udaipur.

Vijay and Akshay say that they want to expand the app to other cities as well and provide services with similar features. The two shared that their app has already been downloaded over 1,500 times within just a few months, and the website has nearly 3,000 users. The app received its patent in January, 2024.
