An Army truck carrying arms and ammunition suddenly caught fire while heading towards Udaipur from Pindwara in Friday evening near Thamli Veri village located around 50 kilometers away from Udaipur.
The three occupants of the truck including 2 soldiers and the driver somehow managed to save guard themselves by jumping from the truck.However area got tensed after the shocking incident and the explosion in the truck still continued and the rescue teams are also responding on the scene.
As per the information more than 24 army trucks all laden with arms and ammunition were heading towards Udaipur from Pindwara,but out of them one of the truck suddenly caught fire, soon the fire turned massive and but the driver and two soldiers remained unharmed as they managed to escape from the truck, later one fire brigade also rushed to the scene. However the explosion are still said to continued and the efforts to doze them off are going on.
Traffic has been diverted from around 15 kilometers before the place of incidence as it was a tense situation on the highway.
The Station House Officer of Bekriya police station said that no one has sustained any injuries, two fire brigades controlled the fire and the situation is completed under control, traffic on the highway remained effected for a while.
Whereas as District Collector Tarachand Meena also said 'I also got to know about the incident on phone, but now the fire has been put off and everything is under control.'
