3 people were crushed under a truck yesterday night when the reversing truck crashed into their motorcycle. The accident happened last night at the Banjara Basti turn situated on HiranMagri-Eklingpura 100 ft road.

Police informed that Gogunda resident Navalram Gameti’s (30) wife was undergoing treatment in hospital. Navalram was going to the hospital with this kid Suresh (9) and mother in law, Ramudi Bai (56) on his bike. While going up the Ghat section situated on Sunrise college 100-ft road, a truck coming in reverse direction rammed into them near the Banjara Basti turn.

All three people on the bike fell on the ground due to the impact. Truck driver jumped out of the truck to flee. The reversing truck then went over Ramudi Bai, Navalram and Suresh. Ramudi Bai died on the spot while the legs of Navalram and Suresh were crushed in the accident.

A crowd gathered at the spot and got hold of the truck driver who was given a beating by the crowd. Hiran Magri Police was informed about the incident and the driver was arrested by the police.
