Thirteen feet long, Indian Rock Python has been rescued today from an open well at Chandesa village, near Kurabad Forest Range, by the snake catcher and wildlife rescuer, Chaman Singh.

On a rescue call from the villagers, forest department officials of Chandesa contacted Chaman Singh who reached on the spot and rescued the whopping 23.5 kilogram reptile from an open well.
According to Shanti lal Chawla, Forester of Chandesa forest post, a large Python was reportedly seen in an open well by Moti Lal, a villager, who immediately informed forest officials about the incident.
Chawla said that after confirming the authenticity of report we contacted Chaman Singh, who reached the spot and rescued the animal.
Chaman Singh, after the rescue operation told that had the animal slipped under water, it won’t be possible to rescue it, though the Pythons can hold their breath for long time, it might die due to no way out.
