The heavy rains at Udaipur yesterday caused a supposedly fragile wall of a house to collapse early morning today, killing two youth at Machla Magra.

The incident occurred at 3:30am today at the house of Ganesh Singh Chauhan at Gali No. 9, Machla Magra, which is a hilly neighborhood consisting of slums.

20-year-old Vikram Singh s/o Ganesh Singh and his cousin Dev Singh (22) were fast asleep when the wall of the neighboring house cracked and collapsed into the adjoining house of Chauhan, precisely in the room where the boys were sleeping.

According to police, victims were trapped inside the debris of the wall. After hearing a sound, neighbors rushed to the rescue and informed the police. After an uphill struggle, the youth were taken out in an unconscious state and rushed to MB Hospital where doctors declared them dead.
