2 students died and 4 got severely injured in an accident near Gomti Four lane.  An over speeding car lost control, hit the divider and flew to the other side of four lane. A truck was coming from the other side. The car dashed into the truck. There were students from colleges of Udaipur in the car.

The accident occurred near Negadia turn at Gomti four lane. The car was in a very high speed and after colliding with the divider it flew to the other side of the road and hit a truck coming from the other side. The collision was so bad that the car actually dashed into the truck. Car driver Vikas(22) was a student of Commerce college who died on the spot. His friend Shakti Singh(22) died in hospital during treatment.

Among the severely injured are Rajkunwar Bhati(20) student of BN Girls college, Mahavir Singh(19), Pritam Singh(23) and Rajesh Salvi(22) from Commerce college. Police reached the spot and somehow took the students out the car with the help of people around. These students were badly stuck in the car.All the students are undergoing treatment in hospital. Their condition is reportedly very serious.

The crane took almost 45 minutes to reach the accident spot. Vikas who was pressed against the steering died on the spot. Taking the students out of the car was a tough task for police and public.

All these students had gone to Kankroli by car. From there they picked Rajkunwar Bhati and were on their way back to college. Motive behind their trip to Rajsamand could not be known since the injured students were unconscious. Rajkunwar Bhati’s parents have said that their daughter had left home on scooty and they have no idea as to how and why she was with the other students. Police are waiting for the students to gain consciousness to get their statements.
