A husband-wife fight in Goverdhan Vilas Police Station area culminated with the death of their son. The son was crushed to death in an accident on highway when he and his mother were following a bus to stop his father from leaving them.

ASI Dhool Singh informed that Diwan Shah colony resident Iqbal Shah and his wife Shabana Shah picked up a major fight last night. The fight escalated to a level where Iqbal decided to leave his house and go away. He went out and got into a bus towards Kherwara. Seeing this, Shabana (42) along with her son Shabbir Shah (20) got on to a bike and followed the bus with an intention to bring him back.

Following the bus at high speed, Shabbir and Shabana were hit by a speeding truck coming from behind. The mother son duo fell on the road and the truck’s tyre ran over Shabbir’s head crushing him to instant death. Shabana was admitted to M.B. hospital with critical injuries.

Police said that they are yet to trace Iqbal.
